Owen's Big Present = Swag

Owen's big Christmas present finally came in yesterday.  One day he was home sick from school so he logged onto Nike.com and designed his dream football shoes.

We said great.  We ordered them several weeks ago but they had to make them and then ship them from China (groan...where else would they be from?)  I'm just glad that they got here.

I'm pretty sure that he doesn't cares what people think about him.  /swag

The best part of the shoes.

It was a surprise to both Ken and I.  We didn't really look at the shoe.  We just ordered it.

Owen said that he put them on the backs of the shoes so that the kids can see them from behind as he's running down the football field.  :p

He said that he came up with that.  It wasn't a template option.  LOL!

Ken said that that boy is 100% receiver.  :p

Nailed It!

I had a few friends over to make cookies.  We made some really cute ones!

I'm sure that Leslie didn't mind decorating the cookies since she's decorates cakes for a living. Yes I took your picture.  So there!

Natalie is such a free spirit.  She made the candy cane cookies as directed for about two minutes and then did her own thing.  :p

So my friends are a little warped.  That's why I love them.  ;)

It wasn't all about cookies though.  Donna is an excellent baker and makes the best peanut butter brittle.  Using fresh "row" peanuts from her mom's recipe.  :p  (Her mother is Asian and wrote "row" instead of "raw" on the recipe.  I love that!

And she's trying to teach her daughter Natalie how to make it.

What are you going to do with leftover Santa dough?  Make mice.  And their mice poopies, of course.  (I did say that my friends are a little off, right?!)

I guess Leslie was tired of the chitter chatter because she didn't give this one a mouth.  Shut your pie hole!

While the girls were busy making cookies, the boys, along with Leslie's 14 year old son Tony, decided to jump on the trampoline.  Being the good boy that he is, Tony took his shoes off before he got on.

His very, very large shoes, I might add!  I was thinking that he probably didn't need to get red ones.  They kinda stand out all on their own.  Teehee

It was such a fun day of cookie decorating with my friends.  :)

And yes...those were gangsta signs Owen was throwing at the end. Meh.

Highlights from our Christmas so far:

+ Ken wrapping all of the presents last night since I was in bed all day with a stomach virus. He also took Shane to tennis, cleaned up the house and prepared the tree for Santa. And did a good job!

+ Owen had to be woken up at 7:00. At first, I thought that he snuck downstairs because he was so far buried in the covers I couldn't find him. Shane had been awake since 4. He was also the last one asleep, visiting us at least twice to tell us something.

+ Shane and Owen's big present from Santa was a trampoline. Any bets on how long it will be to put it up? Be kind.

+ Shane's big presents were a electric circuit board.

+ Owen's big present was a huge R2D2.



Here's Shane and Owen opening up presents from Nanny and Poppa. Joan and Darrel were here when they opened theirs (an iCoaster for Shane and Mario stuff for Owen (is there anything else?!)



I guess that Owen's not the only one who misprounces things. Every once in and while, Shane will come out with a doozy. Glad that we captured this on camera. :)

With all of these new presents, what do you think that they've been playing with? Their 3.99 Bakugan toys. Yep.
