Start Your Engines!

We spent Saturday in Richmond at the Crown Royal 400 Nascar race. It was a perfect day (probably about 75 degrees, sunny and breezy.) Thanks, Emily and Scott for the invite! It was awesome.

Since neither Emily or I liked any of the 200 pics that we took of ourselves, this is the best that we can agree on.

Cornhole. It's Ohio's answer to toss-the-bean-bag...

Our grill rocked. There was no comparison. It got the job done and it didn't take four grown men to lift it from it's pickup truck bed. :)

Go Emily! I can read your lips and I know what you're saying.

NASCAR. It's not just for southern guys anymore. LOL.

You tell 'em girl.

There were a "few" flags flying.

Emily. Scott. And, Dale. :)

Of course there were tats. A tribute to Sr.

Emily doing what Emily does best. And, I love that about her.

And, yes...we did actually go to the race. It wasn't all tailgating. :)

The most beautiful sunset. Evar.

Let the race begin! (This is Emily's favorite picture, btw.)

Ken and Kim.

Self portrait time. I became a Junior fan when I saw the t-shirt in his hauler that said "Whisky River" with a Guitar pick. Yep. I'm a Junior fan now. Fo' Sure!

Sorry, Tracy. Jimmy's didn't do so well. But, we got to see his car a lot. ;)

For the Tony Stewart fan...

For Scott...

Earnhardt Sr. made an appearance from beyond.

Some dude was ready to party. Check out his beer funnel. Another LOL moment.

Junior was running strong until he was robbed. Curse that Kyle Busch. I hope that he has good security because there were a lot of pissed off Junior fans.

All in all...a great day! Thanks again for the invite, Em and Scott!
